Hey everybody.  This is my blog.  I am just going to use this as a place to post my thoughts on Politics, Religion, Philosophy, and whatever else i feel like putting on here.  I would like people to make intelligent arguements here, because I am interested in reaching the Truth above all, but i would not like stupid arguements or (and I’m sure im going to get some) hate mail.

Thank you! Merci! Danke! Gracias! ありがとう!

Existence of God

•November 3, 2008 • 1 Comment

Alright, this is my first real thought.  I know there is a god because it is scientifically impossible otherwise.  In cell theory it states that all life must come from pre-existing life.  So where did the first cell come from?  You could possibly think that maybe aliens made the first cell, but then where did the first life form on their planet come from.  One could say that maybe cells evolved from non-cellular life, such as a virus, but even those have complex genomes.  It is possible that Adenine bonded with Thymine, Guanine with Cytosine, and all bonded together with a phosphate backbone completely randomly but viruses still need things that would to form an outer shell or something that would allow the genome to replicate.  That said, all the major transitions in the development of life on earth require an external force or major mutation to happen, the transition of no life to life, non-cellular life to cellular life, prokaryotes to plant and animal eukaryote cells, and single-celled organisms to multi-celled organisms.

Besides that, there are many unexplained things such as, why do atoms exist, why is water so weird when it freezes, even with scientific reason, why? And for anyone who believes in science more, isn’t it just as illogical to believe in the parallel universe theory.  Also things happen in this world that cannot be explained by science, such as apparitions and miracles.

Leave any questions as a comment and i will try to answer your question either as another comment or as a modification to my post.

Abortion

•November 16, 2008 • Leave a Comment

There is nothing worse than abortion.  First i will start by proving that a fetus is human.  A fetus is an unborn human of more than 2 mos gestational age.  A fetus also can feel pain, something that even an unconscious person of any age can’t do.  Does that make it right to kill an unconscious person, even if they are unconscious for less than a minute.  No, of course not, they will wake up at some point, as long as they get help, meaning they are completely dependant on other people until they awaken.  If you kill a person who is unconscious, you will be charged with murder.  One might say, okay, they are feeling the pain of their mother, so they are simply an appendage of the mother.  Wrong!!  They can feel pain the mother can’t, and vice versa.  That is because all fetuses have brains.

Now to prove that an embryo and a zygote are independent humans and not appendages.  Both have their own DNA, so they can only be their own person.  If they are not, then to whose person do they belong.  They are not simply their mother, nor their father, nor anybody else.

Now I will go over the reasons of why people abort and why it is wrong.  One reason is that they “don’t have enough money.”  So, essentially, they are killing for the purpose of money and only money.  That is like a person killing their spouse only to get their spouse’s money.  That is premeditated murder, and of course, against the law.  The second reason is that they simply don’t want to take care of a baby because it would eat into their own time.  So they want to kill someone for yet another selfish reason.  For both of the above reasons, a simple solution is to adopt it away.  Another reason teenage mothers give for abortions is that they don’t want to get in trouble with their parents.  Okay, but that still doesn’t justify killing a human being.  Some people abort because the child will turn out to be a special needs child.  Does that inherently mean that the child doesn’t want to live.  Nobody knows the thoughts of others (except for maybe psychics, maybe, if you believe in them), so of course not.  Another reason people give is they were victims of rape or incest.  They want to protect their dignity, but as i explained in “The Basic Human Rights,” you still can’t kill a person for that reason, no matter how horrible.

Any questions or intelligent debate is encouraged and appreciated.

The Basic Human Rights

•November 16, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Every human has certain uninfringable rights. These rights are listed in order of importance:

1. Right to Life                                                                                                                                                 All people have a right to life from conception (the beginning of the growth cycle). If a person intends to kill someone they forfeit their Right to Life until the time when they do not intend to kill people anymore.  That said, nobody deserves to die.  What this means is that you can’t kill any human who is not trying to kill another person purposefully.  You can only kill someone who is actively trying to kill somebody, though you should try not to, for then you are no better than they are.  Things that go against this right are things like murder and abortion.  This also includes Right to Health.

2. Right to Human Dignity                                                                                                                                   All people also have a right to dignity and respect for themselves, and cannot do anything to degrade their humanity.  This means that people cannot do anything which makes themselves solely things for other people to use when forced into it. Things that go against this are all forms of pornography and prostitution, even when paid, for they are then forced into it by materialism.  This does not mean that hiring under the practices of capitalism is bad, for then people are not being forced into something.  When a person goes into pornography, they slowly become desensitized, to the point where they are miserable, and they feel like no body cares about them.  Even if its voluntary, people die a little bit inside.  Why else do you think Marilyn Monroe committed suicide?  These two things, pornography and prostitution, also get other people to think of those people as things, which leads to higher instances of rape and molestation.

3. Right to Freedom of Expression                                                                                                                      Every person has the right to say what they want, to write what they want, to worship who and how they want, to talk to whoever they want at whatever time, to possess and use weapons, and to obtain and use capital in any way, so long as it doesn’t involve interfering with any of the higher rights, including rights to life, health, and dignity, or involving intimidation.

All of these rights are in order of importance and non-discriminatory to all people.

Any questions are appreciated.

The War in Iraq

•November 7, 2008 • Leave a Comment

I believe the war in Iraq was a just cause.  Many people seem to forget that Saddam Hussein gassed many thousands of his own people.  For anybody who says that it wasn’t our fight, decency suggests that we should’ve anyways.  Edmund Burke, an Irish statesman from the 18th century, once said, “all that is neccesary for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing.”  The most honorable thing a man can do is give his life to save someone else’s.

The second reason for the invasion of Iraq is the fact that whether or not Saddam had weapons of mass destruction, he didn’t allow UN weapons inspectors into certain areas until many trucks could go in and out of those sites unchecked.  That of course rose suspicions from many people, including President Bush and many other people.

Now for reasons to stay in Iraq.  The first one is the fact that Iran, as we all know, is a little bit whack.  We can’t exactly tell what they’re going to do next.  From a tactical standpoint our occupation of both Iraq and Afghanistan is a tactical advantage.  When you look at a map, you can see that Iran is right in between Iraq and Afghanistan, so if Iran ever gets too far out of check, we can be right there to straighten them out.

Second reason to stay in Iraq.  If we leave now using the 16-month withdrawal plan, the last few months will have the lowest US and Iraqi troop presence, and Al-Qaeda will massacre our troops, or the Iraqi troops, or even the Iraqi civilians.

The last arguement is best explained by someone who has been there.

Any intelligent arguement is appreciated.

Economics

•November 4, 2008 • Leave a Comment

All forms of economics are double-edged swords.  Capitalism requires the desire of money or recognition, but it also raises overall productivity.  Socialism doesn’t require human desires, but it also lowers productivity, creativity, and individuality.  Communism is flawed, requiring people who live in an area to work for the lord of the land just to live there, and the government can do whatever with the people.  Mercantilism is somewhat of a cross between capitalism and communism, in which all economic activity is heavily taxed, but it served as a critical bridge between barbarism and modern economics.

Any questions are appreciated.
